Southside Rocker Dogz puts the “HOT” in Hotdogz

Owned by Chef Kris Martinez, Southside located restaurant Rocker Dogz Gourmet Street Dogz has become a “must visit '' when in the area. These aren’t your typical hotdogs (and burgers) though, they are unique, customary creations by Chef Kris inspired by his own personal likes in the food world.

Ingredients such as pickled serranos, red cabbage, cilantro, mint, basil, carrots, with drizzles sweet chili glaze, sesame lime vinaigrette, and sriracha are just a few toppings of what separates his hotdogs from other hotdog establishments.

Located at 3014 Roosevelt Ave, San Antonio, TX 78214 (in the Mission San Jose Neighborhood), and next to an auto repair shop, the “HOT” dogz are a lunchtime (and dinner) favorite in the community. Nothing beats cool music playing while you're sitting on a picnic table on the Southside with your friends and family.

Some of the featured dogz include: The Thai Kick Boxer Rocker, Chicano Style Rockero, Italian Stallion Rocker and The Bella Bleu Rocker. Each hotdog is loaded with goodness, fresh ingredients, and lots of love from the Chef.

Can’t forget the sides, right? Their “Tricked Out Tots" topped with spicy mayo, and parmesan and the "Voodoo Tots" topped with cheese sauce, smoked bacon bits, ranch, hot sauce, and onions are a must.

Chef Kris began his entrepreneurial journey with humble beginnings and a hot dog cart, working at other restaurants in between, to now becoming a family-friendly Southside staple and foodie favorite everyone that visits loves.

Keep up with all that’s going on at Rocker Dogz Gourmet Street Dogz by following them on Facebook and Instagram. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, and 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday.
