
Students who join our writing program will have a chance to become published in Live from the Southside Magazine.
We do this because Creative Writing:
- Improves Self Expression
- Leads to Job Success
- Boosts Thinking Skills
- Fosters Empathy
- Is Fun
Details of the program
Local Southside students, in grades 3-12 are invited to become contributing writers to our "Kid's Korner". Students can submit anything from poetry to nonfiction family friendly pieces that are up to 300 words. Up to 4 images can also be sent. The deadline for submissions is the 15th of each month. This is also a great opportunity for extra credit programs or classroom challenges among students. Please feel free to contact us so we may discuss this opportunity further, and have your students' featured in Live from the Southside. *Note: The articles must be typed out.
